ZAMORA GROUP IS WORKING WITH MAASAI WOMEN IN BEAD WORK.
Our community development and engagement project with Nalepo Women Groups in Suswa, County of Narok-Kenya begun with needs assessment of 15 groups in July 2023.

The gaps identified from the groups were accessing markets, lack of modern handicraft skills and knowledge, contemporary designs, product finishing skills, product marketing, market information and linkages of the beautiful and well- known Maasai bead and leather work.

Zamora has embarked on a women’s economic empowerment project that seeks to create long-term change by empowering women with modern skills and knowledge of doing beadwork. Our focus is on building capacities of 50 women groups with beading by loom, contemporary designs, product finishing skills, product marketing, market information and linkages through trade fairs and exhibitions of the beautiful and well- known Maasai bead and leather work.
